The Caixa is a large snare drum, known for its thick wires and high pitch, used to create the fast-paced, driving rhythms at the heart of samba music. Unlike the Western snare drum, it is played snare-side up. This model features a 12" head on each end of its 20cm shell, reinforced with durable aluminium counter hoops and rods. The drum comes fully assembled with protective black paint on all hardware, and its synthetic skins can be tightened using the included tuning key.
